Hey guys!
Today we want to share with you our daily facial skin care routine by showing you the products we use. If you’re anything like us, you’ve probably had issues as a result of having sensitive skin and have had occasional break outs that tend to kill your vibe ever so often. If there is one thing that’s become a major pet peeve to us is having people give you their “advice “ on why your skin is breaking out and offer remedies for your situation. It’s really hard to stay calm when people make break outs seem like a disease. Skin types vary with each and every person; even those of us who have sensitive skin. What may work for one person with sensitive skin, may not work for someone else going through the same situation.
Anyway, out of all the products we’ve used on our skin, and trust us, they have been a lot! We’ve become loyal to some products. We’re not saying they are miracle workers but they have helped improve our skin greatly. So here’s a look at the products we’ve been using.
Cleansers
We cleanse our faces at least twice a day. We use Nivea’s Daily Essentials purifying face wash daily and Nivea 3 in 1 micellar cleansing water when removing make up.
Nivea Purifying Face Wash: Ksh. 700
Exfoliator.
So far the only product that’s worked for our skin is St Ives Apricot Scrub and now we are currently using the green tea scrub which is also easy on the skin and smell so darn good!! We exfoliate at least once a week.
ST Ives Green Tea Scrub: Ksh. 975
Toner
Still from the Nivea daily essentials range, we use the mattifying toner right after cleansing and exfoliating.
Nivea Mattifying Toner: Ksh. 650
Moisturizer
Forgive the nasty stain on the moisturizing cream, it’s just make up. Anyway, as you can tell we are Nivea product fans and we try to stick to one range. The shine control moisturising day cream is really great. It’s non-greasy and has SPF plus it smells really nice. As for the Eucerin dermo purifyer, it’s specifically made for oily blemish-prone skin and it’s totally fragrance free. It’s a clinical product but it has great results. It’s also from the same company as Nivea(BDF). It doesn’t have spf though. We use it when our skin starts to act up. It also helps to fade out blemishes.
Nivea Shine Control Moisturizer: Ksh. 695
Sun Screen.
Last on the list is sun lotion which is also from Nivea. This has an SPF of 50+ and it’s a moisturising sun lotion which is a plus. This is something we use when we know we will be spending a long time under the sun. It’s good to keep your skin protected.
Nivea Moisturising Sun Screen: Ksh. 1500
I’m sure your starting to wonder why all our products are from one company. Well, with sensitive skin, we have to be careful and be sure that the products we use are original products to avoid severe effects from those that are not authentic and we all know how that goes. On the other side, some products might cost you a pretty penny. Nivea is affordable and convenient since you can buy it in any supermarket or store. And why change something that’s working right?
Let us know what kind of products you are currently using and don’t forget to leave us a comment.
Have a lovely Tuesday
