Hello Fashion lovers!!! What’s good? A great weekend this has been for us on the fashion rehab and we are definitely upbeat about the new week and life in general;probably due to all the exciting and eye-opening things we have gotten to learn over the last two days. So today’s post is not supposed to bore you with details of our almost amazing life, so I will get right to it. Over the past weeks we have had some friends ask us “Tweenz, why don’t you ever write anything about men’s fashion?” Ofcourse we have done a few posts, one or two,but hey, since y’ all asked we have no option but to oblige. It is always a complicated affair when it comes to men and fashion. Most men would rather not be bothered with particulars on what colours work best well or how to pair different pieces together to avoid coming off as boring dressers. Simplicity for them is always the safest route. A little help wouldn’t hurt when it comes to the fashion department. I will take a chance and talk about the most basic and universal piece of clothing that I believe is a wardrobe essential for every man. THE WHITE DRESS SHIRT!
Happy Monday Everyone! Hope your weekend has been fun and drama free. The weather, on the other hand, is starting to change; and the cold season is upon us once again. However, today I want to talk about summer style reminiscent of our younger days, the TIE & DYE TREND. Nothing screams free spirit and summer vibes like it! Whenever I think about tie and dye, my mind goes back to my childhood home science projects when we would tie-dye every white piece of clothing we owned. The good news is those days are back, albeit in a much chicer form. But I’m not talking about the kaleidoscopic swirls or the hippy-dippy, multi-color style. Tie-dye motifs have taken a subtle and sophisticated route while at the same time, standing out as carefree and fun.
Happy Friday Fashion Lovers, Hope your week has been filled positive vibes, No stress, No drama! We’ve spent the past week cleaning the closet, giving away or donating things that no longer fit or that we no longer wear. A clear-out was desperately needed. My sister and I are self confessed hoarders, often bagging up huge amounts of old clothes. But sometimes we wonder what to do with all the things that have sentimental value that we can’t bring ourselves to give away. Having considered selling them on OLX, none of us seem to have the inclination to all that photography, uploading and delivering of parcels. You can see the irony in this seeing that we run a blog that requires photography and uploading pictures! However, we have no intention of flogging our costly mistakes for a few bucks each. Essentially, we didn’t really want to get rid of them. We represent
Hello loves, I’ve always wondered what it’s really like being a fashion girl’s boyfriend(FGBF). It can be overwhelming at times I know, but trust me it’s not that hard! Most of the guys right now are probably thinking, what about all the annoying selfies we have to take, the secret ploy to get us on Instagram and getting tricked to being their freelance photographers. Amongst all the selfies, blog talk and fully booked social calendar, It’s nice to be with someone who isn’t into fashion so these are just but a few of the so called ‘Occupational Hazard’ of being a FGBF! I remember asking my boyfriend how he feels about being with a girl who’s world forever revolves around Fashion and his candid reply was that he’s always been keen on what he’s wearing when he’s around me. But at the same time he said he trusts me when it comes to buying him stuff and my opinion on how he looks in a certain outfit will boost his confidence to the point where he doesn’t need a mirror and anybody else’s opinion could find a home in the toilet- end of quote. I think that’s a win-win sitch.
